Terms of Sale and Product Use

1. Product

The Product is Solar Quote Guard — Full Android Buyer Pack, currently version 1.0.0. It consists of the Solar Quote Guard Android application supplied as an APK file together with an Installation and Support Guide.

The Product is a reusable, self-guided buyer decision-support tool designed to help a residential solar buyer structure quotation information, identify matters that may need clarification, prepare questions for an installer, and create buyer-side documents.

2. Price and payment

The current launch price is £19 one-time. There is no subscription. The total payable price, including applicable taxes, is shown by Polar before the order is placed. The price displayed at checkout for your transaction is the price that applies to that order.

Polar handles the checkout, payment, applicable transaction taxes, receipt/order record and related payment processing as merchant of record and authorised reseller.

3. Digital delivery

No physical goods are supplied. After a successful purchase, Polar grants digital access to:

• the Solar Quote Guard Android APK; and
• the Installation and Support Guide.

Access is provided through the Polar order/customer delivery flow. An internet connection is required to complete checkout and obtain the download files.

4. Compatibility and installation

The current Product requires Android 7.0 or later. It is supplied as a direct Android APK and is not currently installed through Google Play.

Direct APK installation may require the buyer to allow installation from the browser or file source used for the download. The Installation and Support Guide explains the installation process. The buyer is responsible for using a compatible Android device and maintaining enough storage space to download and install the Product.

5. Immediate supply and cancellation

Digital content is intended to be available immediately after successful purchase. Before purchase, Polar asks the buyer to expressly agree to immediate supply of the digital content and to acknowledge that the normal 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply of the digital content begins.

Before supply begins, any statutory cancellation right that applies remains available. If the legal requirements for immediate supply, acknowledgement or contract confirmation are not satisfied, your statutory rights are not reduced by these Terms.

6. Faults, refunds and statutory rights

These Terms do not exclude or restrict consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Digital content supplied to a UK consumer must meet the applicable statutory requirements, including requirements relating to quality, fitness for a disclosed purpose and correspondence with its description.

If the Product is faulty, materially not as described, or cannot be accessed as promised, contact us at quotes@solarquoteguard.com. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include repair, replacement, restoration of access, a price reduction or refund.

Payment and refund processing through the checkout is handled by Polar in accordance with Polar’s Buyer Terms and applicable law. Nothing in those processes or these Terms removes any non-waivable consumer remedy.

7. Licence and permitted use

Purchase grants the buyer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Product for lawful personal, non-commercial use on Android devices owned or controlled by that buyer.

The buyer must not resell, sublicense, publish, share, redistribute or commercially exploit the APK, the Installation and Support Guide or other supplied Product files. The buyer must not reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits such activity.

8. Product scope and limitations

Solar Quote Guard provides informational buyer decision-support only. It does not provide engineering, electrical, structural, legal, financial, tax, investment, regulatory, installation or other professional advice.

The Product does not certify or approve an installer, system design, quotation, equipment, grid/export approval, expected energy production, savings, payback or legal/regulatory compliance. Indicators, thresholds and generated buyer documents are aids to review and questions to clarify; they are not professional certifications, guarantees or valuations.

Decisions about signing a contract, paying a deposit, selecting an installer, financing, system design or installation remain with the buyer. Where professional advice is required, the buyer should obtain it from an appropriately qualified professional.

9. Local-first app data and privacy

The Android application is designed for local-first use. Quote information entered into the app and buyer documents generated within the app are stored locally on the device as described in the Product documentation.

10. Support and complaints

Reasonable support for download, installation and access to the core Product is available at quotes@solarquoteguard.com. Support does not include personalised professional engineering, legal, financial, tax, regulatory or installation advice.

Billing, payment and Polar checkout issues may also be raised through Polar’s support channel shown in the Buyer Terms or order documentation.

11. Updates and future versions

The purchase is for the Product/version described at the time of purchase. No lifetime upgrade programme, subscription or entitlement to unrelated future products is promised unless expressly stated in the product description or order confirmation.

Any update or support commitment expressly made before purchase forms part of the applicable contract to the extent required by law. Nothing in this section limits statutory obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Intellectual property

Solar Quote Guard software, documentation, branding and associated materials remain the intellectual property of their respective owner or licensor. Purchase grants a licence to use the Product; it does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, branding or other intellectual property.

13. Contract information and changes

The Product description, functionality, compatibility information, price and other pre-contract information shown to the buyer before purchase may form part of the consumer contract where required by law.

The version of these Terms and the pre-contract information applying when an order is placed govern that transaction. We will not retrospectively use later Terms to remove rights already acquired under an earlier transaction.

For the payment transaction, Polar’s Buyer Terms govern Polar’s checkout and reseller services. These Terms govern the Product licence and supplier-side Product commitments. Mandatory consumer rights take priority where they cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

14. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits or restricts any right or remedy that a consumer has under applicable law and that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited or restricted.

If you are a UK consumer, statutory protections relating to digital content and distance/online contracting may apply in addition to these Terms and Polar’s Buyer Terms.
